this year's love had better last

hello, 2007. bout damn time.

i suppose i could reflect on the various successes and failures of 2006, but that would probably bore you. and probably disappoint myself, seeing as how there would probably be more failures than successes.

but how about some highlights, just for sheer human interest... hmm...

• i bought the acura. still the best $700 i ever spent
• my summer swim team won their first meet in 3 seasons. jeff and i are awesome
• i moved out! yah, reston
• went on lots of vacations, including wilmington (three times), ocean city, new york (twice), charleston
• uva beat arizona
• saw van twice, once in new york, the other time at the patriot center
• all the other concerts, including jimmy buffett, goo goo dolls, and dave
• lots of good times with good friends
  

and i did learn a lot in 2006. i guess, in a way, that's the goal: every year, learn just a little bit more about yourself and what direction you're headed. i definitely have more knowledge and direction today, january 1, 2007 than i did on january 1, 2006. small victories.

and 2007 certainly got off to quite an interesting start. but interesting in a really good way. you should ask me for the story, it's a good one. just not one for public consumption.
